Ryan Perez-Carrillo, M.Ed., CCC-SLP, M.M. - Voice
Ryan is a certified Speech-Language Pathologist who provides therapy to children from birth through 3 years of age, with a specialization in Early Intervention. He focuses on helping babies and toddlers build communication skills through family education and play-based strategies.
While his primary area of expertise is early intervention, While his primary area of expertise is early intervention, Ryan may also provide therapy to children and adolescents up to 18 years of age on a selective basis when they are medically fragile or unable to attend school and access school-based supports (for example, children with tracheostomies, G-tubes, or other complex medical needs requiring in-home care).

Ryan has extensive experience working with children who have mild to severe receptive and expressive communication delays, as well as those who have neurological language disorders such as autism. His therapy with young children (before school age, under six years old in Nevada) focuses on developing functional communication skills through early intervention techniques, active caregiver participation, and the use of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), such as touch-based devices and eye-gaze systems. He has experience working with children who present with, or who are at risk for, a wide range of congenital and acquired developmental disorders including but not limited to:

Awards:
Ryan is a recipient of the prestigious ASHA Award for Continuing Education (ACE). The ACE is awarded to Speech-Language Pathologists or Audiologists who have made a concerted, personal effort to continue professional learning beyond an academic degree by earning seven ASHA Continuing Education Units (CEUs), which is equivalent to 70 contact hours in a thirty-six month period.
FUN FACTS:
Ryan is also trained in classical singing and holds a master’s degree in Vocal Performance (M.M. – Voice) from Miami University (Ohio) and a bachelor’s degree in Applied Voice from UNLV. He is a former member of the award-winning Miami University Opera Theater and has been featured in award-winning productions. He enjoys singing Opera, Art Songs, Musical Theater, R&B, and Jazz. Ryan periodically performs throughout the Las Vegas Valley. He also enjoys cooking, exercising, watching sci-fi, fantasy, & anime, and spending time with family, friends, & his cats.
